Rachel Johnson is a strategic, people-centered executive who helps organizations operate at their best — with over 20 years of experience leading operations, administration, and shared services across public, nonprofit, and private sectors.

As a fractional Chief Operating Officer and Chief Administrative Officer, Rachel partners with founders, CEOs, and executive teams to build the infrastructure that turns vision into velocity. She brings deep expertise across core business functions — including HR, finance, legal, IT, and facilities — with a strong focus on efficiency, scalability, and mission alignment.

Rachel is known for her ability to zoom out to assess organizational context and long-term goals, then zoom in to identify bottlenecks, streamline processes, and guide implementation with clarity and calm. Whether stabilizing back-end operations after rapid growth or optimizing systems for a new strategic phase, she leads with both structure and heart.

She has supported organizations ranging from lean nonprofits and founder-led startups to large transit agencies and global financial firms. Her industry-agnostic approach is grounded in best-in-class tools, including certifications in HR (SHRM-CP) and Change Management (Prosci). She holds a BA in Pre-Law from Georgia State University and dual Master’s degrees in Management and Leadership & Organizational Development from the University of Texas at Dallas.

From operational assessments and leadership coaching to systems implementation and change navigation, Rachel delivers practical solutions with lasting impact. Clients value her as a steady partner who brings clarity in complexity and makes their lives easier — not just more efficient.

Rachel’s leadership style is anchored in accountability, collaboration, and care. She leads by example, supports excellence in others, and makes things work — better.
